PURPOSE
The control system for carbon potential is designed to control heat treatment processes in various types of furnaces (band-, chamber and pit furnaces.)
The control unit SCR 2000 and the oxygen probe SDR from Swiss company SCR SA form the control system. Microprocessor control unit SCR 2000 provides automatic adjustment of carbon potential according to required parameters of heat treatment (time, value of carbon potential, temperature). The control unit calculates the carbon potential taking into account any signals from an oxygen probe and controls running of executive elements for dosage of atmosphere components in the furnace chamber (electro valves, pumps, mass valves, throttles etc.) The control unit also controls an air supply system of oxygen probe (reference and rinsing).

The oxygen probe placed in the furnace chamber is responsible for measurement of oxygen residual quantity and atmosphere temperature inside the furnace chamber.

Control system of carbon potential can be extended by computer-controlled superior process visualisation and registration and data storage system YAZKA from the company SCRS.A.

SCR 2000 CONTROL UNIT

  • Control of controlled atmospheres in the furnaces:

    chamber, band, push through, pit and vacuum furnaces etc.

  • Atmosphere control during processes:

    carburizing, carbonitriding, quenching, annealing, nitriding, nitrocarburizing etc...

  • Calculates and adjusts:

    carbon potential (PC%), nitrogen potential (Kn), dew-point, etc....

Displays measurement and adjusts:

temperature (single and cascade), CO value of atmosphere, O2

Owning to the new generation process, SCR 2000 unit:

  • Calculates CARBON DIFFUSION ON LINE

  • •Stimulates cycles of carburizing process with carbon diffusion of steel depending on chosen parameters of heat treatment (graphic visualisation on computer display).

Control system of carbon potential can be extender by computer-controlled superior process visualisation and data storage system YAZKA from the company SCR SA. YAZCA! Takes full advantages of Windows XP Pro System in order to provide the management stability and efficiency, control and industrial visualisation.

The architecture of YAZKA system is customer-server type. The Program - Server manages the technological line and communication, whereas the program – Customer forms the graphic interface that let the user work. The Program – Customer is not limited by licence, only by power of the Server –„host”. Every user of the Program – Customer is the owner of access code and according to the level can get an access to specified system parameters. YAZCA! System can perfectly cooperate with intranet and Internet networks. It registers basic information on any network disk. Owning to the architecture Customer-Server some users, even distant, are able to get an access to the technological line.

YAZKA System includes the following elements:
  • database with unlimited number of variables
  • Continuous data storage module with unlimited quantity of data logging channels
  • Sinoptics about mutual effect with the visualisation of actual process parameters and the possibility of set values change.
  • Charge planning module enabling sending of heat treatment programs to SCR 2000 and unlimited production planning.
  • Report generator (created according to the customer requirements, equipped with tools for statistical analysis of process variables and results
  • Multi-stage alarm generator with the function of events registration and storage
  • Database of treated details ,kinds of steel and treatment programs
  • Regular creation of copies of stored data and configuration files on the System server.

DATANIT PROBE

DATANIT probe can be used for control of nitriding and carbonitriding processes. It can be applied in pit furnaces, continuous and vacuum furnaces.

Datanit probe is designated for measurement and adjustment Nitrogen potential (KN) in the process:
  • nitriding in the atmosphere: NH3 i NH3 disocciated
  • Nitriding in the atmosphere : NH3 i N2
  • Oxynitriding in the atmosphere :NH3, N2 et N2O
Nitrogen potential (KN) and carbon potential (Kc) in the process:
  • nitriding with carburising :NH3, N2 and carburizing gas (CO2, endothermic gas , CH4)
It has the following properties: Work in the following conditions:
  • temperature from 420°C to 650°C, pressure from 200 mbar to 1300 mbar.
Measuremenrt accuracy:
  • 1 % hydrogen mole fraction, 2% ammonia mole fraction
